Jai Lewis / Owner and Founder
Jai is the founder, owner and head trainer at LiveTrainPlay. Jai is obsessed with his craft. Many long time members recall when LiveTrainPlay was a one man show….and Jai was that one man. From the start of the first 6 AM class to the end of the last class at 7:30 PM, Jai maintained his infectious good attitude that keeps his students coming back for more. You will never see Jai in a bad mood in the gym… and you will almost never see him not in the gym.
Jai excels at making the CrossFit program work for everyone that walks in the door. He’s trained students of all capabilities from competitive athletes to pregnant women. Jai is quick to identify a student’s capabilities and mold the workout regimen to best suit the individual.
You’ll never meet a trainer that cares more about his students than Jai. But be forewarned, when the clock starts on the WOD, Jai turns into a real ball buster. Nobody slacks off on Jai’s watch. And when the workout is done, everybody leaves stronger. Jai’s students wouldn’t have him any other way.

I love crossfit, in no other gym can you have a sense of community that crossfit brings to people. I have been an athlete my entire life. I played volleyball and was on a swim team. While I was playing volleyball, I partially tore my ACL my senior year of high school and needed to have surgery during my Freshmen year of collage volleyball. While at Cal Lutheran I had to find something to get my strength, speed, and agility back. So I happened on Olympic Lifting, I loved the athleticism each movement required and the rush you got when you PR’d. After college was over, I was back doing the same boring routine at a “global gym” and was losing interest in working out. Until, my sister introduced me to crossfit and I never looked back. I love how it is a combination of Olympic lifting, high endurance movements, gymnastics, and that it brings a sense of community together. I have been crossfitting for 4 years now, have competed in many competitions including the Femme Royale, Weekend Warrior Rumble, and Central Coast Clash to name a few. I have been coaching since May. I look forward to meeting new crossfitters.
